Job DetailsJob Location: Main Office NJ - Howell Township, NJ 07731Salary Range: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 Salary/year1. Provides Managerial Oversight of Daily Operational Activities for Residential Services Ensures operational activities are conducted in accordance with EIHAB policies and federal and state regulations and laws. Ensures all employee trainings required by the licensing body and funding sources are completed in specific timeframes. Reviews staff schedules monthly for appropriate coverage in compliance with the Division of Developmental Disabilities. Reports any significant challenges to the vice president. Reviews monthly expenditure reports and adjusts operational activities accordingly. Shows fiscal responsibility by controlling costs whenever possible. Works with the Vice President and finance department to identify spending trends and assure the budget is properly accounted for at each location. Anticipates staffing needs and coordinates the recruitment and hiring process with human resources. Reviews Monthly QA chart audits for trends of staffing needs 2. Clinical Knowledge and Assessment Skills Demonstrates knowledge of developmental disabilities, learning characteristics, and mental illness. Has the ability to assess physical, cognitive, emotional, and social needs. Conducts accurate assessments of consumers referred by the Division of Developmental Disabilities. Makes recommendations for appropriate placement of consumers and provides clinical recommendations for appropriate level of care to staff and the Individual Disciplinary Team (IDT). Demonstrates knowledge of applied behavior analysis and has the ability to develop appropriate interventions based on ongoing assessment. 3. Knowledge of Medication Interactions and Side Effects Administer, follow, and demonstrate understanding of medication administration as outlined in EIHAB’s policy and the Division of Developmental Disabilities requirements in the monitoring of the consumer’s medication. Has the ability to educate the consumers regarding medication interactions and side effects. Research, understand, and educate staff regarding the medication prescribed to consumers. 4. Crisis Prevention, Intervention and Management Intervenes appropriately with consumers and staff to prevent, avert, or manage crisis situations using behavioral and/or crisis intervention training, on-call staff, and possible psychiatric evaluation and/or screening services. Has the ability to identify psychiatric states of decompensation and risk potential and communicate changes to supervisors and other treatment team members. Ability to identify risk potential and coordinates with Assistant Residential Director/Coordinators to Develop a plan to intervene to deter crisis development and manage crisis situations. Takes appropriate steps while securing consumer and staff safety (including respite services at another location) until the situation is under control. 5. Ability To Be A Member of An Interdisciplinary Team by Demonstrating Leadership Supervisors, the Director of Residential and all of the direct reports thereafter, provide supervision to ensure that within 30 days after consumer admission and annually thereafter, they assess skill level and develop ISP and treatment plans. Assure staff are trained on the outcome of the ISP and goal development. Communicates accurate information regarding the consumer’s personal care capabilities and needs, health issues, and concerns to the interdisciplinary team and demonstrates the ability to compromise with co-workers. Regularly facilitates and/or participates in general staff meetings, clinical meetings, management meetings, and assigned committees or special projects. 6. Documentation Coordinates with Quality Assurance Department to review QA reports for of consumer records for thorough and accurate completion of documentation (i.e. treatment plans, proper consents, releases, IHPs, and Adaptive Behavior Summary [ABS], as well as DDD documentation requirements.) Monitors admissions and discharges and completes documentation as required. 7. Supervisory and Team Leader Sets an example through commitment to the job and a desire to excel. Identifies needs and collaborates with the training team to provide staff training and mentoring with internal and external sources. Provides guidance and assistance to staff regarding work performance by being physically present on-site for regular and unscheduled visits. Works collaboratively with each site administration to monitor staff in the delivery of direct care services. Regularly meets with the Residential Director and managers to ensure that all aspects of the residences meet licensing criteria. Responsible for the overall operations of the programs assigned. In the absence of the Residential Director, assume the role and responsibilities of the vacancy until filled. Maintains oversight of each residential budget and reviews concerns with Residential Directors and Managers and submits an action plan to the Vice President as needed or monthly. Overlooks personal differences and promotes teamwork throughout the company. Continues to set the highest standards for oneself and others in the supervisory chain. Routinely reviews staff time reporting for accuracy. 8. Generic Skills Thoroughly completes all assigned work and within the appropriate time frame. Works flexible hours to meet the consumers' and organizational needs, including days, evenings, overnights, and holidays. Continually accepts and reaches for responsibilities. Have the ability to troubleshoot unusual problems, situations, and needs. Appropriately represents EIHAB in the community to develop positive relationships by effectively communicating the agency’s mission. 9. Knowledge of Personal and Community Safety Carries out inspections according to policy and procedures in group homes and apartments and other sites Promptly addresses all facility, vehicle, and equipment issues that compromise client or staff safety or require repair, utilizing appropriate procedures. Able to operate fire alarms, sprinkler systems, utilities, and security systems safely. Able to verbalize use and function and report malfunctions. QualificationsQualification Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and Experience: Master’s Degree with two years of administrative experience in a behavioral healthcare setting or a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of four years of administrative experience, two of which are supervisory. Certification, License, Registration: Driver’s license valid in the state of New Jersey, plus three years driving history and a driving record in good standing.
