(subject to review and approval) About the Role: The Organisational Development unit is a specialist function within People and Culture, providing a strategic, organisation‑wide approach to leadership capability, wellbeing and culture across Canberra Health Services. The unit partners with leaders to embed contemporary, human‑centred organisational development practices aligned to CHS values of being reliable, progressive, respectful and kind. As Senior Director, Organisational Development, you will provide senior leadership and strategic direction across leadership development, organisational wellbeing and engagement. You will lead the design and implementation of an integrated leadership and management strategy, positioning contemporary leadership practice as a key driver of workforce wellbeing, performance and sustainable organisational improvement, while working closely with Executives, senior leaders and Ministers. You will drive modern organisational development and change approaches, oversee key system‑wide programs including performance management, culture surveys, diversity and inclusion, wellbeing and recognition, and provide high‑level advice on leadership and culture matters. The role leads a specialist team delivering organisational programs and consultancy services, requiring strong emotional intelligence, a coaching‑led leadership style, sound judgement and the ability to influence in complex environments. Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or equivalent experience, with demonstrated engagement in contemporary organisational development or leadership practice, are essential.
