What you’ll do:
We’re excited to announce a strategic opportunity to join the Viasat Government People and Culture (P&C) team as a Senior Director, People Strategy Partner. This hybrid role offers the best of both worlds: meaningful collaboration in our Carlsbad office and the flexibility of remote work.
As a Sr. Director, People Strategy Partner, you will serve as a trusted advisor, integrator, and internal consultant to senior business and functional leaders. You will translate organizational goals into actionable people strategies that drive performance, growth, and transformation across our Government Business Unit.

The day-to-day:

CONTINUOUS LEARNING AND EXTERNAL BENCHMARKING

  • Stay current with P&C trends, best practices, and external benchmarks, bringing innovative ideas into the organization.

What you’ll need:

  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Proven experience as a P&C Business Partner or similar HR role in a business-driven environment.
  • Experience working with COEs and cross functional teams.
  • Knowledge of employment law, P&C/HR best practices, and HR technology.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate business strategy into people priorities and strategy.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to use data for decision making
  • Strong communication, coaching, and consulting skills.

What will help you on the job:

  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and comfortable challenging senior leaders constructively.
  • Experience in leading or supporting organizational change and transformation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions and with diverse teams.

Salary range: $189,500.00 - $299,500.00 / annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $235,500.00- $353,500.00/ annually : At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience. Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
