Responsibilities

WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT:

The Senior Director, Portfolio Management, PCMA has the overall P&L accountability for the product. This role will define the strategy & associated roadmap for feature enhancements to grow personal banking deposits and engagement with the product. This role will also be responsible for managing all aspects of the customer lifecycle from early months on book to customer management and retention through various channels. Reporting to the VP, Payment Products, Strategy and Communications you will build and maintain key strategic relationships for the financial business and ensure we operate within our risk tolerance.
As a leader within the business, the Senior Director, Portfolio Management will play a key part in developing their team and establishing new ways of cross-functional collaboration to sustain product management discipline across the organization.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Own the P&L for the Money Account product and define the vision, manage the strategy, and set up annual plans to grow deposit balances accordingly.
  • Ongoing management of all aspects of the product portfolio including sales, share analysis, research, portfolio metrics reporting, pricing management, competitive positioning reviews and create action plans to enhance the product performance.
  • Work closely with counterparts in Finance and Treasury to ensure alignment to performance metrics. Establish & monitor key KPIs for balance growth, customer engagement and portfolio performance. Leverage analytics to course correct and establish new proactive tactics across the customer lifecycle.
  • Manage the customer lifecycle from early tenure to customer management and retention
  • In collaboration with other stakeholders, define the acquisition strategy across digital, in-store, and pavilion channels.
  • With a digital-first approach, develop and launch new products or features as required. Evaluate the current product portfolio for suitability based on evolving customer needs, competitive offerings, and regulatory changes.
  • Leverage an agile framework in the planning, execution, and evaluation of projects and feature enhancements and coach a collaborative team on agile methodologies.
  • Establish and maintain cross-enterprise and third-party partnerships and evaluate opportunities for new partnerships to improve overall desirability of products.
  • Provide ongoing strategy, visibility, and progress of the business to senior leadership team through business reviews and other portfolio updates.
  • Provide leadership to a high performing team and drive a culture of collaboration and ownership.
  • Keep abreast of changes in regulations to ensure that the department’s procedures, projects and practices evolve accordingly.
