JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Director, Policy, Global Procurement leads enterprise procurement Policy, ensuring adherence to corporate policies, regulatory requirements, and responsible sourcing standards. This leader is responsible for developing and enforcing robust procurement governance frameworks, contract policies, and compliance mechanisms that drive efficiency, transparency, mitigate risks, and enhance supplier accountability. As a key member of the Global Procurement team, this leader will build and refine procurement processes and policies, implement governance-enabling technology, and develop organizational capabilities necessary to execute procurement strategies that align with Marriott’s corporate, legal, and financial objectives. This role will partner closely with corporate, continent, and discipline leaders to optimize procurement processes, enhance supplier contract governance, and drive responsible sourcing and financial sustainability. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in end-to-end procurement processes and contract risk management and regulatory compliance, demonstrate exceptional leadership skills, and have a proven track record of managing geographically dispersed teams in a highly matrixed environment. This role offers the opportunity to shape enterprise procurement processes and responsible procurement practices, strengthen governance controls, and contribute to the success of Marriott’s 30+ brands across 10,000+ hotels in 138+ countries.
The global team has a presence in 9 offices worldwide (Eschborn, London, Dubai, Cape Town, Shanghai, Singapore, Mumbai, Bethesda MD, Plantation FL) and over 60 clusters representing 200 associates. This role will maximize Marriott’s global purchasing power of $20B+ while supporting strategic supplier relationships.
