We’re seeking a strategic, detail-oriented finance leader to join StubHub as the Senior Director of SEC Reporting. In this pivotal role, you will lead the end-to-end SEC reporting process, ensure compliance with all U.S. GAAP and SEC requirements, and partner closely with our investor relations team, external auditors and other senior stakeholders. You’ll oversee and lead a high-performing team to drive process improvements and provide insightful commentary on financial results and disclosures. Location: Hybrid (3 days in office/2 days remote) – New York, NY What You'll Do Lead and own the full cycle of SEC reporting (Forms 10-K, 10-Q,) including disclosures, footnotes, MD&A and related schedules. Oversee and manage the quarterly and annual reporting calendar; ensure timely, accurate filing and disclosure compliance. Partner with strategic finance, legal, tax, treasury and investor relations to ensure consistent messaging and financial disclosure alignment. Lead external audit and internal control processes related to SEC reporting, including coordination with auditors and SOX-404 compliance. Drive continuous improvement of processes, systems and controls supporting financial close and reporting (e.g., automation, analytics, workflow optimization). Coach, mentor and develop a team of SEC reporting professionals; set goals, foster accountability and promote professional growth. Provide senior-management level commentary and analysis of results, trends and key drivers; prepare and present reporting package to the executive team and audit committee. Monitor developments in accounting standards (e.g., ASC 606, ASC 842, leases, revenue recognition) and SEC disclosure requirements; assess impact and lead change implementation. Serve as a business partner to the organization on reporting-related matters (e.g., acquisitions, divestitures, debt issuance) and ensure appropriate disclosure treatment. What You've Done Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or equivalent certification required. At least 12-15 years of progressive accounting and financial reporting experience at a publicly traded company, with a minimum of 5 years leading SEC reporting. At least 5 years of experience at a big 4 accounting firm. Deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, SEC rules and regulations, SOX requirements and substantive experience with external audit processes. Proven track record managing complex reporting cycles, handling major accounting issues and presenting to senior leadership. Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills—able to operate in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. Strong analytical and technical skills, attention to detail and ability to drive process improvement. Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and maintain composure under pressure. Preferred Experience Time spent in a technology or high-growth company with international operations. The anticipated gross base pay range is below for this role. Actual compensation will vary depending on factors such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, and competencies.
