The Microsoft Research Redmond Lab seeks an innovative and experienced strategy and partnerships leader to contribute to our emerging Real-World Evidence healthcare program.
In your role as Senior Director, Strategy and Partnerships, you will work closely with the research leader and team to refine vision, define strategy, and orchestrate broad range of stakeholders to deliver tangible commercial traction in the space.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)
  • OR Master’s Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 6+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)
  • OR Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research)
  • OR equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years experience leading strategic initiatives that directly influenced product and/or organizational outcomes in healthcare, life sciences, or technology sectors.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 12+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research) OR Doctorate in Statistics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Electrical or Computer Engineering, or related field AND 8+ years related experience (e.g., statistics, predictive analytics, research) OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years people management experience

Applied Sciences IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $163,000 - $296,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $220,800 - $331,200 per year.

  • Applied Research: Incorporates key business and product requirements to define a clear agenda and vision that influences the direction of the company/products and provides a competitive or strategic advantage.
  • Bringing the State of the Art to Products and Markets: Defines vision and strategy for collaboration efforts between research, development, and commercial teams. Represents the organization across Microsoft and the industry, and drives high-stakes negotiations across teams to ensure cutting edge technology is being applied to products and markets in a way that meets (or creates) key business objectives.
  • Capability Management and Networking: Leverages network as well as their personal expertise and/or recognition to attract new research talent to join Microsoft. Builds trusted relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to develop long-term partnerships and advocate for research initiatives.
