Reporting to the VP & Head of Global Operators Commercial Development & Sales based in Dubai, our Senior Director Operators Commercial Development and Sales India will lead the commercial development & sales teams who manage the relationship with Travelport’s Operator Partner in India & Sri Lanka. Travelport’s Operators are a key driver of growth for Travelport. This role will be responsible for the fastest growing travel market and will be responsible for the strategy, direction and performance of the market for Travelport. What does a great Senior Director of Operators Commercial Development & Sales India & Sri Lanka do? Responsibilities: Ownership of the commercial sales, and business development for the Operator and India & Sri Lanka Ensure cadence and execution of Annual Business Plans and Quarterly Business Reviews for each of the Operator partner in India & Sri Lanka Establish sales, growth plans and programs to achieve revenue, growth and profitability targets Foster a culture of growth within the Operator Channel, including cross-functional engagement with key leaders and teams including travel partners, agency and emerging business Grow and maintain relationships with our Operator Partners, and ensure alignment with the global Operator Channel strategy Maintain a key understanding of the Operator market and customers as well as ensure a knowledge of key competitors’ capabilities and strategies Accurately manage the Operator channel in India and Sri Lanka sales pipelines and forecast in accordance with the Operator channels strategy and ensure the use accurate use of CRM tools as appropriate What we look for/who would prosper in this role? Proven ability to manage, inspire and lead a highly performing sales team Proven ability to engage with shareholders and present to SLT internally Managing and selling through and to our Operators and their customers Experience with creating P&Ls or other deal modelling tools to assess the viability of business opportunities Has experience of holding others accountable for commitments made through proactive management and tracking of said commitments Experience of leading developing and delivering results with a multicultural team across multiple geographies Demonstrates proven relationship management with Operator partners, their shareholders, and teams Proven decision-making abilities with the ability to create and implement Operator channel strategy specific to the appropriate region. Substantive experience of working within, and successfully managing complex globally matrixed teams and the ability to engage, influence, persuade and leverage internal resources for India & Sri Lanka Ability to act as a change agent with a positive open and flexible approach Strong problem solving skills, resourceful and exercises creative thinking Exceptional commercial skills including; ability to market, Operator and customer business requirements into definable actions, value-based selling, pipelines management and coaching of the CDMs Must possess an overriding desire to understand the Operator and their customer needs, exceeding their expectations and supporting the growth of both the Operator and their customers
