Archirodon has been awarded a major Oil & Gas EPC project in UAE, and is currently building a team of experienced Lead Engineers, who will be based in our UAE office and lead the multidiscipline Engineering of the project. Project includes the detailed engineering and design, quality assurance and control, procurement/supply, interface management, construction/installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning/start-up of Hydrocarbon & non-Hydrocarbon systems and management including all works required for the job completion. The main objective of this brownfield project is to increase the production handling capacity by adding a new Production Train and associated facilities at an existing Central Degassing Station and a new gas lift compressor train at another existing Central Degassing Station. Role Summary: The Senior Design Engineer – HVAC is responsible for leading HVAC design and detailed engineering activities for onshore and offshore EPC projects, ensuring systems are designed in compliance with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements. The role involves coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams, reviewing vendor deliverables, supporting procurement and construction activities, and attending site visits whenever required to ensure successful project execution. Lead HVAC design and detailed engineering activities for onshore and offshore EPC projects Prepare and review HVAC design calculations including heat load calculations, ventilation, pressurization, and smoke control systems Perform equipment sizing and selection for chillers, AHUs, FCUs, exhaust fans, ducting, and ventilation systems Develop and review HVAC layouts, duct routing, schematics, and material take-offs Ensure HVAC designs comply with project specifications, ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, ISO, API, and client standards Review and approve vendor drawings, technical submittals, and equipment data sheets Support procurement through technical bid evaluations and vendor clarifications Provide design support during construction, installation, testing, and commissioning stages Resolve technical queries, RFIs, and design-related NCRs Participate in design review meetings and client technical discussions Ensure timely submission of HVAC deliverables in line with project schedule and quality requirement What you will need to have: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Minimum 12–15 years of experience in HVAC design within EPC projects Strong experience in Oil & Gas, Offshore, Marine, or Industrial projects Proven expertise in HVAC system design, calculations, and equipment selection Hands-on experience with heat load calculations, ventilation, pressurization, and smoke control systems Thorough knowledge of ASHRAE, SMACNA, NFPA, ISO, API, and project specifications Proficiency in HVAC design software such as HAP and drafting tools like AutoCAD Experience working with 3D design tools such as PDMS / E3D Strong experience in reviewing vendor technical submissions and datasheets Ability to coordinate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams Experience in supporting construction, installation, and commissioning activities Willingness to attend site visits whenever required Good communication skills in English (written and spoken) Ability to work independently and meet tight project deadlines You are someone who: Displays excellent interpersonal and communication skills Can be counted on to achieve goals within schedule, demonstrating a fighting spirit and perseverance Is keen to learn and professionally grow Is flexible and eager to take initiatives Demonstrates sound Project Management Skills Is effective at solving problems, troubleshooting and making timely decisions Displays a team spirit, particularly in a multicultural environment Is commercially astute What’s in it for you: Professional Growth, Challenging Projects, Collaborative Environment, Competitive Compensation Competitive salary and benefits are part of the offering, yet the real joy comes from being a member of smart and passionate teams within an international leading EPC group that supports impactful for the local communities’ mega infrastructure development projects - literally around the globe - and encompasses a productive and human-centric culture caring for its people and their development!
