Description

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Senior Diversity and Inclusion Specialist on a temporary (up to 2 year) basis on our Diversity, Inclusion, and Employee Wellbeing (DIEW) team. This position is a remote opportunity and can be based across Western Canada.
Being part of the DIEW team means you will have direct input and influence over the development, rollout and sustainment of programs that will enhance DIEW across the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS).

WHO YOU ARE:

You are looking for a career in Human Resources & Training and:

  • Have a minimum of 6+ years of progressively responsible experience. Previous experience in design, execution, and measurement of Diversity, Inclusion, and Employee Wellbeing programs and initiatives required.
  • Have a bachelor’s degree with preference for HR, Commerce, Business Administration or Social Sciences (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Canadian Certified Inclusion Professional (CCIP™) or Chartered Professional of Human Resources (CPHR) designations are considered an asset.
  • Have proven experience communicating effectively (both verbally and written) at all levels both internally and externally.
  • Have a strong aptitude for building and maintaining relationships, influencing colleagues, and delivering results in a collaborative environment.
  • You’re honest and trustworthy, are results oriented and take pride in delivering high quality work consistently.
  • You are comfortable with ambiguity and are able to bend and flex your approach based on real-time feedback from various stakeholders.
  • You value the perspectives of others and are committed to contributing to the safe and inclusive work environments for team members at all levels.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of DIEW programs and policies to enhance the employee experience across FCL and the CRS.
  • Be comfortable being uncomfortable while guiding others to do the same, ensuring we are creating a psychologically safe environment where all employees can bring their whole selves to work.
  • Collaborate with other HR functions to support program and policy implementation evaluating progress and measuring/reporting outcomes through the DIEW lens.
  • Support local Co-ops on their individual diversity and inclusion journeys as well as their employee wellbeing strategies and programs.
  • Work strategically and collaboratively with stakeholders within and outside of the People and Culture team to ensure programs align with business needs and support the achievement of business results.
