Description

START YOUR SNOWY JOURNEY

Be part of a landmark project transforming Australia’s energy future. Snowy 2.0 is the nation’s largest renewable energy initiative, expanding the iconic Snowy Scheme to deliver reliable power and critical energy storage. As the client-side Owner’s Team, we lead the project’s successful delivery, working closely with delivery partners and stakeholders to ensure Snowy Hydro’s vision of a sustainable, reliable energy future becomes reality.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As the Senior Document Controller, you’ll lead the establishment, review, and maintenance of document control systems, ensuring all project documentation is prepared, quality-checked, and delivered on time. You’ll guarantee that all records and information are accurately compiled, validated, and structured to meet contract requirements and international standards, ready for seamless handover to the asset owner or operations team.
This role is based in Cooma. If you’re not already a local resident, you’ll be required to relocate. We provide relocation assistance to help make the move seamless.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to implement Snowy 2.0’s Information Management and Document Control strategy, ensuring all handover processes meet Asset Information Requirements (AIR) and Project Information Requirements (PIR).
  • Establishing and managing end-to-end document control and handover processes with contractors, ensuring deliverables are complete, compliant, and stored in the correct Information Containers.
  • Maintaining and updating Project Information Containers (e.g., design packages, quality records, handover packages) to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
  • Collecting, reviewing, and verifying handover documentation such as as-built drawings, quality records, O&M manuals, and commissioning records.
  • Coordinate archiving activities in line with organisational and regulatory requirements.
  • Managing the control, accuracy, and distribution of all project documentation, including maintaining registers in Aconex, overseeing contractor submissions, and performing document audits and quality checks.
  • Reviewing and improving document control procedures, templates, and processes to enhance efficiency and compliance.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with contractors, stakeholders, and colleagues, ensuring effective and timely communication.
  • Providing high-quality support to project teams, uphold professional standards, and foster confidence in support services.
  • Undertaking site visits and other project or administrative tasks as directed by the Information & Document Control Manager or senior management.
