We are currently seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and detailed person with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to join our drafting team at our Nisku, Alberta office. We are looking for someone who has experience drafting and checking piping, structural, and equipment detail drawings (basically an all-arounder) for a fabrication company. The successful candidate will complement the drafting team by supporting all the various drawings we do with an emphasis on structural detailing for the beginning portion.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

· Diploma in Engineering Design Technology (or EDDT) from either NAIT or SAIT is preferred, but an equivalent diploma or drafting experience or work experience may also be applicable.
· Experience drafting and checking natural gas oilfield production equipment, structures, and piping drawings for a fabrication shop.
· Experience primarily with AutoCAD and CADWorx. Inventor would be an asset.
· Confirm designs and drawings adhere to regulatory codes, policies, and procedures, are safe, mechanically sound, meet process guarantees, accessible and functional, simple for ease of fabrication, cost effective, and any other aspects that provide a high-quality product for our customers.
· Experience with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel and Outlook.
· Self-starter, capable of working under pressure with minimal supervision.
· Excellent organizational skills with an ability to multitask and complete tasks efficiently in a time sensitive manner.
· Excellent interpersonal and communications skills, both verbal and written.
· Knowledge of natural gas process systems and related equipment.

Duties must be performed safely with adherence to company policies, procedures, and standards.
Responsibilities and duties will include:
Primary
· Create or check detail drawings using AutoCAD and CADWorx Plant Professional software. These drawings will include, but are not limited to PFDs, P&IDs, Pressure Vessels, Non-pressure Equipment, Base Skids, Structural, Ladders, Platforms, Piping General Arrangements, Piping Isometrics, 3D equipment, 3D steel, and 3D piping models, with a specific concentration on Structural drawings at the beginning.
· Ensure all work is performed accurately, with the highest possible quality and adhering to company standards.
· Provide support and guidance to the drafting team. Also provide support to engineers, project managers, shop personnel, and other 5Blue teammates.
· Ensure all work is completed in accordance with project timelines.
· Be a proactive team member who encourages team morale, excellent working relationships, and professionalism.
· Help develop company standards and processes.
· Any other duties that may be required.

· Draft vessels and equipment using Autodesk Inventor.
