• Senior Drainage Engineer – London£40,000 – £50,000Are you an experienced Flood Risk and Drainage Engineer looking for a new opportunity in London?We are working with a well-established and growing consultancy that is looking to strengthen its flood risk and drainage team with the appointment of a Senior Engineer.This is a varied role where you will work across a range of development and infrastructure projects, providing flood risk and drainage advice from early feasibility through to detailed design.The role will involve:Preparing Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies
• Surface water and flood risk modelling
• Hydraulic modelling using software such as MicroDrainage, Flood Modeller or TUFLOW
• Designing surface water drainage and SuDS schemes
• Supporting planning applications and liaising with Lead Local Flood Authorities, Environment Agency and other stakeholders
• Producing technical reports and drawings
• Working closely with engineers and other disciplines across the wider business
• Supporting junior members of the team and helping to develop their technical skills
• About you:Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related subject
• Strong experience within flood risk and drainage consultancy
• Experience delivering Flood Risk Assessments and drainage strategies
• Good understanding of UK flood risk, drainage and SuDS requirements
• Experience with relevant hydraulic modelling and drainage design software
• Confident communicating with clients, stakeholders and colleagues
• Ideally Chartered or working towards Chartership
