COMPANY OVERVIEW ExoTerra is a world leader in solar electric propulsion systems and space exploration satellites. The company develops Hall Thrusters, propulsion modules, microsatellites and launch vehicle upper stages.  We have been awarded multiple propulsion module and satellite contracts.    POSITION SUMMARY EXOTERRA IS SEEKING A FULL-TIME DYNAMIC ENVIRONMENTS ENGINEER. THE HIRED EMPLOYEE WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR COMPLETING DESIGN, ANALYSIS, AND TEST TASKS AS THEY RELATE TO HALL-EFFECT THRUSTERS, XENON AND KRYPTON PROPELLANT FLOW CONTROL SYSTEMS, AND ELECTRONIC POWER SYSTEMS. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES * Provide technical expertise in dynamic environments analyses (shock, random vibration, and acoustic environments), measurement prediction/analysis, and related testing quantitative methods in accordance with industry standards, of systems ranging from components to entire spacecraft, in order to support design development, verify customer requirements, and ensure functionality in applicable flight environments * Support dynamic testing (random vibration, shock) of components and propulsion systems * Understand customer-specified requirements, interface with customers, present analysis results to customers in design reviews, and prepare reports of analysis results for delivery to customers * Provide support for multiple programs simultaneously * Support signoff of flight hardware for delivery to customers * Contribute to process and efficiency improvements * Communicate and collaborate effectively with various teams, including program management, design, manufacturing, analysis, etc. * Additional duties as assigned   REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering * 5+ years of industry experience (pay commensurate with experience) * Expertise with dynamic environments analysis and structural analysis * Expertise in dynamic testing (random vibration, shock, etc.) * Solid foundation in fundamentals of vibroacoustics, structural mechanics, and dynamics * Strong mathematical foundation (calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, etc.) * Strong written/verbal communication skills   PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * * Proficiency with NASTRAN/FEMAP analysis software * Proficiency with Matlab or Python * Experience with space or satellite hardware   WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * Ability to work in office and manufacturing * Able to meet program deadlines and occasional schedule flexibility   EXPORT CONTROL / COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.    COMPENSATION & BENEFITS Competitive salary range: $100000 - $150,000 (dependent on experience and qualifications)   ExoTerra offers a comprehensive, total compensation package, which includes competitive salary, a discretionary annual bonus plan, paid time off (PTO), a comprehensive health benefit package and various other benefits. When you join our team, you’re not just an employee; you become part of a dynamic community dedicated to innovation and excellence.   EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY STATEMENT ExoTerra is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
