At UGL, the Fuels & Energy East business is seeking interest from skilled Electrical & Instrumentation Engineers to join the Projects team. The role can be based in either Brisbane or Melbourne.

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Senior Engineer will support the Lead Engineer to provide engineering and administrative coordination for the tender, design, supply, installation, and commissioning support to the project scopes, end to end. You will be working across various Oil and Gas facilities and Fuel Storage Facilities under the portfolio.

To be considered for the role the following qualifications will be highly regarded:

  • 10+ years’ industry experience in engineering, maintenance and/or project implementation and commissioning for major resources sites within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or Chemical industries
  • Proven experience in electrical systems design, implementation, construction, and commissioning of LV, MV equipment and systems
  • Knowledge and exposure to DCS, PLC, SCADA and tank inventory systems
  • Experience with interfacing to instrument and control systems using a variety of communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, Modbus and Profibus
  • Detailed knowledge of Australian & International codes and standards - Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Area (Classification and Design) certification – AS/NZS 60079
  • Experience in procurement of E&I Items such as datasheets, specifications, Bid review, technical bid evaluation, Vendor Date review etc
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong and effective working relationships with other members of the specialist and regional teams
  • Actively participate in regular learning and development programs to continually enhance and further develop skill
