The Job Profile
Based in Melbourne and reporting to the Publishing Director, this role offers a fantastic opportunity for a talented editor to develop their editorial and publishing skills working with some of the most exciting and distinctive talent as part of a dynamic and growing team.
The Role
The Senior Editor will bring best-in-class publishing to market on time and to budget, with core duties to include proactive project management from manuscript to finished copy, creative development and editing (including structural and line-editing), evaluating submissions, preparing acquisition P&Ls, copywriting and metadata management as well as liaising with authors, agents and freelancers.
Outside your project editor tasks, you will read and report on submissions and contribute to brainstorms and the discussion of new acquisitions.
