Responsibilities

Are you ready for a rewarding role where you’ll build positive relationships and help remove barriers to learning?
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Education Support Officer to work as part of the unique Thie ny Shee Primary Team with pupils who have severe and complex needs, specialising in working with individual pupils who lack the skills to regulate in a classroom setting. In this challenging but rewarding job, you will be supporting some of our most vulnerable children so they can access education and have the opportunity to flourish, following your help and guidance.
You will work alongside individual pupils for a period of time, to establish consistency and continuity in their programme, providing social and emotional support including communicating effectively with parents, carers and other professionals. Part of that support programme will be on site at Thie ny Shee, while part of it will be in the pupils’ school setting, where you will also provide support for the school staff working with their individual pupil.
Don’t miss this opportunity to gain specialist experience while helping young people reach their full potential!
