Description JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Manager, Educational Development, this position will be charged with the ideation, creation and development of educational resources (mainly featured on ffa.org under Educator Resources). Additionally, the candidate will also be responsible for the management, planning, and coordination of the National Teacher Ambassador for FFA program. The candidate will be expected to 1) Manage strategic operations, budget, everyday needs, and training requirements for the National Teacher Ambassador for FFA program 2) collaborate with staff in the creation of engaging educational materials, 3) provide guidance and insight to help bridge the gap between corporate partners/organizations and educators, 4) update and review educational content (lesson plans, classroom activities, online learning resources) and strategies to support specific outcomes. Requirements ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND SKILLS: Manage strategic operations in support of the National Teacher Ambassador for FFA program, including: Manage communications and serve as point of contact for the Teacher Ambassador for FFA program. Manage vendors needed for programming and events of the program. Develop summer training schedule for the National Teacher Ambassador for FFA program. Coordinate National Teacher Ambassadors for FFA for different events (ex. NAAE, National FFA Convention, etc.) and organizational needs. Manage the budget of up to $300,000 for the National Teacher Ambassador for FFA program. Develop educator training materials for the National Teacher Ambassadors for FFA program. Integrate creativity and ideation into existing and new resources/projects. Work in a collaborative team environment to align educational resources with the organization’s mission, visions and educational precepts. Lead team logistics in packing, shipping and managing storage pallets. Keep an accurate inventory of team pallets for others on the team to use. Demonstrate an understanding of agricultural education philosophy and best practice methodology in relationship to the FFA mission and program. Provide strong educational methodology to enhance educational resources and services. Work with cross-functional teams in planning and execution of projects. Assist in proposal development and revision activities. Utilize effective problem-solving and time-management skills to execute complex projects. Prioritize, organize, use time-management skills, and be adept at multi-tasking. Manage relationships with clients/vendors. Obtain stakeholder feedback and recommend appropriate improvements. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal, listening, written and verbal communication and project management skills. Contribute as a team player with the ability to work independently in a frequently changing environment as well as a collaborative structure. Ability to lead processes and drive meetings based on achieving established objectives. Interact, influence and work with a diverse group of internal/external people. Provide excellent customer service to internal and/or external customers. Accurate, detailed-oriented, and able to problem solve/analyze. Speak confidentally in front of small and large groups. Demonstrate computer efficiency. Be able to pack and move materials of 50 pounds. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Education (or equivalent). Master’s degree is preferred. 3-5 years of agricultural education experience (with 2-4 years teaching preferred). One to three years of curriculum/content development experience preferred. Strong and creative problem-solving, critical thinking, and strategic planning skills, including the ability to disaggregate problems and structure complex issues. Strong collaboration and influence skills, demonstrating an ability to navigate organizational relationships, incorporate differing perspectives, develop recommendations, and generate consensus with partners across teams. Excellent project management skills, including detail and action-orientation with excellent follow-through skills Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
