About the Role: VU TAFE is seeking a Senior Educator to coordinate Literacy, Numeracy and Digital Support ( LND) provided to eligible Skills First students. An example of duties you may perform will include: Overseeing high quality, innovative Literacy, Numeracy and Digital support to eligible Skills First students Work with the senior manager, teachers, and VU staff to coordinate the logistics necessary for the delivery of innovative Literacy, Numeracy and Digital support to students and to stakeholders, including student communications, timetabling, learning materials and program resources Salary and Conditions of Employment This is a continuing Senior Educator role at SE1 classification, $121,708 per annum plus superannuation, working 38 hours per week. Conditions of employment will be covered by Victoria University Vocational Teacher Enterprise Agreement 2025 About the Person: Our teaching team is looking for someone: Bachelor of Education Degree with specialisation in Literacy/Numeracy and/or Bachelor Degree and a formal post bachelor qualification in literacy/mathematics/numeracy education and two years relevant teaching experience to a range of cohorts. Training and Assessment qualification: Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116); or Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) with Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills (TAELLN411 or TAELLN401); and Design and Develop Assessment Tools (TAEASS502, TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B). With a current Employee Working with Children Check OR VIT Registration With a minimum of 2 years industry experience to be able to bring your knowledge and experience to the classroom With excellent communication skills and “can do” attitude Demonstrated knowledge of literacy and numeracy support strategies and the necessary organisational skills to plan and coordinate appropriate resources.
