Description

The Senior Manager EHS will oversee administration and development of the safety, environmental and IH program for the Tuas II facility in Singapore. It is responsible to provide strategic leadership and guidance in achieving safety, environmental and IH related performance objectives and compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, Pfizer standards and industry consensus standards. They will be responsible for collaborating with Site Leadership to establish and execute the safety, environmental and IH strategic plan for the site. This role reports to the Director of EHS.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the EHS Lead for Tuas II operations and supervise the EHS team supporting Tuas II operations.
  • Effectively lead and manage site EHS initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with governmental regulations, Pfizer standards and industry standards.
  • Conduct internal and external benchmarking and lead the implementation of improvements to the EHS programs.
  • Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and sustainable results across EHS projects/programs, assessments and resulting action plans.
  • Lead the efforts to assure implementation of identified actions in accordance with identified target dates.
  • Defines and implements the strategic direction for capital projects and facility changes related to EHS.
  • Monitor emerging process safety requirements throughout the industry and initiate proactive gap closure actions of industry best practices
  • Lead Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellence initiatives
  • Manage and lead the activities of the Tuas II EHS Team to ensure regulatory compliance and department goals and initiatives are achieved as well as establish the expectations of behavior for the safety culture in the site.
  • Create competence requirements and curriculum for EHS training for all colleagues.
  • Develops risk assessment methods and tools for anticipating, identifying, and evaluating hazards.
  • Managing and assisting with the mitigation of identified gaps and improvement opportunities
  • Ensuring the site has prioritized (risk-based), actionable strategies and that effective metrics are utilized to monitor progress and performance.
