Description

The Senior EHS Specialist applies strong understanding of EH&S processes, procedures and resources to drive projects and tasks to completion. Embraces and implements business and process improvements within EH&S. Works on moderately complex EH&S problems and considers relative value of several alternative solutions to potential issues before confirming a final decision as to the path forward. While having general responsibilities associated with the EH&S field such as safety, industrial hygiene, biosafety, radiation, chemical hygiene, emergency response, ergonomics, training, construction, animal facilities, etc.

Responsibilities

THIS ROLE MIGHT BE FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE:

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Proficient in computer skills, such as microsoft suite. Ability to learn specialized software applications and specialized safety and industrial hygiene equipment.
  • Frequently interacts with end users and various management levels including senior management. Ability to prepare and conduct presentations of technical EHS information concerning specific projects.
  • Ability to develop and conduct EHS training sessions.
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus.
    To be qualified for this role you will need 5+ years experience in related field and industry, and we require a BA/BS degree. A degree in a science related field is preferred . We are looking for someone who has experience working in a lab environment. An a dvanced degree and/or certifications (Certified Industrial Hygienist, Certified Safety Professional, Associate Safety Professional, Certified Hazardous Materials Manager and/or Medical Emergency Technician) are a plus.
