THE OPPORTUNITY
Arup is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer in our offices in Dubai. You will play a key role in the Buildings Services Team, be liable for the team performance, technical excellence, and project delivery.
You will be accountable for: objectively design electrical systems for complex buildings from concept to handover. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for seamless system integration. Review and verify design work by local and remote teams. Work with Arup Group offices on Middle East projects, ensuring local compliance. Liaise with authorities for project approvals and regulatory adherence. Provide technical assistance for local authority approvals. Integrate health and safety principles in all practices. Deliver projects with high standards of quality and compliance.
Conduct feasibility studies and report on sustainability options. Broad appreciation of other disciplines is desirable. Utilize new technologies to enhance design processes. Passionate about implementing automation in design and delivery within a BIM environment. Demonstrable understanding in delivering excellent technical quality on Electrical design projects in the Middle East. Skilled in LV power system modeling (Amtech or similar), lighting design (Dialux, Relux), lightning protection (StrikeRisk), Generator sizing and BIM tools (Revit, Navisworks) Client and stakeholder engagement knowledge of working in Multi-D environment and with good interface skill Familiarity with Estidama and LEED-certified projects.
