Our client, a growing international M&E consultancy known for their low-energy, client-focused design solutions, is looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their Dublin team.
This role is specifically for engineers with extensive Data Centre electrical design experience, ideally on European mission-critical projects. You’ll be delivering high-value engineering services across a mix of sectors, with an immediate focus on large-scale Data Centre builds.
Experience in sectors like pharmaceutical, healthcare, clean rooms, and commercial/labs is a bonus—but Data Centre work is essential.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOREXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years as a Senior Electrical Engineer on Data Centre or similar mission-critical projects.
  • BEng/BSc in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent). MIEE, HND/HNC with significant experience also considered.
  • Chartered status (or working toward it) is highly advantageous.
  • Strong grasp of electrical systems, especially in complex, large-scale builds.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

  • Experience using electrical design software (e.g., Dialux, Amtech/Trimble, Etap, Eracs, CDEGS).
  • Familiarity with BS standards, Irish and international building codes.
  • Sound understanding of Health & Safety regulations, risk assessments, and site safety practices.
  • Competence in MS Office and project documentation.
Responsibilities
  • Deliver full electrical design services on projects of varying scale, with a strong focus on Data Centre facilities.
  • Carry out all aspects of electrical design, from building services to medium-voltage (MV) topology.
  • Ensure all project documentation and design output meets quality standards and technical specifications.
  • Work across cross-functional teams and take ownership of engineering delivery.
  • Control costs and manage workload to deliver projects within scope and budget.
  • Stay abreast of industry innovation—champion the adoption of modern electrical engineering tools and technologies.
  • Support and mentor junior team members to aid career development and promote technical excellence.
  • Attend client and site meetings, conduct surveys, and support project commissioning as needed.
