Currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer on a 2-year fixed-term contract basis for a global energy service company based in Kintore, Aberdeenshire.
The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will play a pivotal role in delivering world-class engineering solutions within the global Wireline Systems and Wellhead Pressure Control Equipment Team.

The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will have the following main duties and responsibilities:

  • Responsible for designing hydraulic, pneumatic, and electromechanical systems using advanced CAE tools across all phases of the project lifecycle (from proposals to completion).
  • Innovating, designing, and developing customised, customer-centric electrical solutions using advanced CAE tools.
  • Leading and executing design projects, including cost estimates, validation, and compliance documentation, ensuring delivery within budget and to client specifications.
  • Providing expert technical support across departments and regions, including on-site installation, testing, and at global client meetings.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • A degree qualification in Electrical Engineering, or a similar discipline, would be preferred.
  • Previous experience in a similar Senior Electrical Design Engineer type role, directly within the North Sea Oil and Gas industry, is essential.
  • Applicants should have experience with hydraulic, pneumatic or electromechanical systems.
  • Proficiency with CAE tools is essential, as is experience of working with engineering documentation standards.
  • Applicants should have knowledge of manufacture technologies and design for manufacturability.
