Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer

SUMMARY:

Our client is an expanding international M&E consultancy with a proven track record in low-energy design, focused on delivering exceptional design solutions to clients. They are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join their Dublin office.
The successful candidate will work on a variety of projects, including data centres, industrial, commercial, oil and gas, and pharmaceutical facilities. Experience in delivering European data centres and mission-critical projects is essential. Additional experience in sectors such as process pharmaceuticals, healthcare, commercial, labs, and clean rooms is desirable.

EXPERIENCE / DIPLOMA:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Senior Electrical Engineer in relevant projects.
  • BSc/BEng or degree in an appropriate engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • MIEE or HNC/HND plus relevant experience, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Chartered status or progress toward chartership is advantageous.
  • Significant experience in specification design for a variety of building types.

SKILLS / SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must hold a valid Irish driving licence.
  • Fluency in English and eligibility to work in Ireland.
  • Strong understanding of key Health and Safety issues and legislation.
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Proficiency in electrical design software such as Dialux, Amtech (Trimble), Etap, Eracs, CDEGS, etc.
  • Good knowledge of BS standards and codes.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload to meet deadlines.
  • Strong managerial and presentation skills.
  • Experience in supporting project delivery in line with project management, financial management, QA/QC, and technical review processes.
Responsibilities

DUTIES:

  • Manage full electrical design on projects of all sizes.
  • Perform electrical design work from electrical building services up to MV topology.
  • Provide quality control on electrical engineering projects as required.
  • Control project costs effectively to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Manage both project teams and cross-functional teams within the organization.
  • Lead the adoption of new technologies in electrical engineering.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members.
  • Travel to client and project locations for meetings, surveys, etc.
