We are currently recruiting for a Senior Electrical Engineer to support our Design and Delivery team. You will play a leading role in the way we design and deliver our optimisation improvement project pipeline across our global portfolio of renewable energy generation operations. You will be a vital part of a multi-discipline team supporting projects and operations who are pivotal in our ongoing energy transformation to a decarbonised and more sustainable and resilient energy future. This position offers the option to work from home 2 days/week and can be based in our corporate office in Brisbane or Perth office. Key Areas of Responsibility Provide technical guidance and innovation for the timely resolution of queries, investigations and issues. Design, develop, and implement engineering solutions, ensuring technical accuracy and quality Identify the learning and development needs for yourself and mentor less experienced team members to ensure a high level of technical capability. Effective implementation of discipline engineering standards and technical documentation Ensure professional engineering services are appropriately supervised Support team members and work collaboratively to contribute to achieving the team’s objectives Enhance the discipline capability through improving existing processes, and staying updated with industry trends Actively ensure own health and safety and the health and safety of others through understanding and implementing workplace health and safety obligations Support and comply with Company policies and procedures as advised and documented in the Company’s employment policies as amended from time to time and as directed by Managers/Supervisors In addition to the duties set out above, the Senior Engineers may be expected to perform other duties as assigned from time to time by the Company Person Specification Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Ability to assess complex situations and develop practical solutions An innovative mindset Interest in and ability to continue personal leadership and technical growth Excellent verbal & written communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with others Qualifications and Experience Degree in a nominated engineering discipline with eligibility for Professional Engineer registration. In-depth knowledge and experience in the nominated engineering discipline Experience with heavy industry (e.g., mining, power generation, oil & gas) would be an advantage Understanding of safety in design principles with a core emphasis on effective risk management Successful applicants will be required to undergo medical and background screening prior to commencement with EDL.
