SR. ELECTRICAL ENGINEER – EMBEDDED CONTROLS

Aviation ground Equipment Corp. (AGEC) is seeking a hands-on Senior Electrical Engineer - Embedded Controls for power systems, to support the design, development, test, and troubleshooting of digital/analog circuits, power generation systems, and power test equipment.
AGEC is a rapidly growing developer and manufacturer of commercial and military power generation and control equipment supporting airline and military ground support equipment (GSE). Responsibilities
  • Technical leadership on the embedded control systems and aspects of all existing and future products at AGEC.
  • Develop embedded control architectures, algorithms, and requirements for high-power energy conversion systems.
  • Provide existing product support and future controls technical direction.
  • Develop and create embedded control software including control architectures, algorithms, and code to fulfill internal and customer requirements for energy generator and conversion systems. (10kW – 300kW systems)
  • Hands on testing of hardware performance with embedded software/firmware, utilizing JTAG interface, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes or similar equipment.
  • Successful transfer of new designs to production.
  • Verify designs are implemented with accurate consideration for power quality and performance.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and problem solving of anomalies.
  • Document designs, specifications, engineering changes and test reports
  • Collaboratively work with other engineering leads to ensure all product performance, cost, and schedule objectives are achieved.
  • Guide and assist other control engineers (non-direct) reports ensuring cohesive, singular control strategy and application throughout AGEC.
  • Support the life cycle of new product development from concept, through design and development, testing, and product support.
  • Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating efforts with other employees and organizations.
