The Role: Our client, KEA Technologies, Inc., is currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Senior Electrical Engineer will serve as an individual contributor and subject-matter expert. The Senior Electrical Engineer leads key design and development efforts across multidisciplinary projects, providing technical expertise, hands‑on support, and strategic guidance. This role combines technical leadership, problem‑solving, and the opportunity to influence next‑generation technology solutions. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter passionate about innovative R&D and product design. Key Responsibilities Solve complex engineering challenges using strong fundamentals and analytical skills Design sensor interfaces and signal conditioning solutions to meet customer requirements Take initiative and innovate to generate technical value and achieve business goals Lead PCB design activities, including schematic/layout capture (Altium preferred), fabrication, assembly, and cross functional design reviews Perform electrical and EMC testing in accordance with SAE, ISO, CE, UL, and related standards; analyze results and produce test reports Continuously improve design processes, tools, and best practices Collaborate effectively across disciplines to develop creative, high-impact solutions Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the development lifecycle Support prototype builds and low‑rate production, ensuring design integrity and schedule adherence Communicate design intent and technical information clearly to internal and external stakeholders Qualifications: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering 5+ years of relevant industry experience Experience with sensor interfaces, communications systems, controls, power conditioning, and electrical distribution systems Proficiency in PCB design (Altium preferred) including stack-ups, signal integrity, EMC considerations, and power distribution Strong background in analog, mixed‑signal, and electronic systems development Familiarity with manufacturing processes for electronic/electromechanical assemblies Experience with automotive EMC standards (CISPR25, ISO, SAE) a plus Experience with the design, analysis, and simulation of analog and digital circuits Knowledge of hardware design and engineering processes, including board bring-up (prototyping, fabrication, assembly, soldering) Experience with embedded software development or system architecture is a plus Understanding of hardware protocols (CAN, USB, UART, I2C, SPI) Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve issues across all phases of product development Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities Familiarity with document control and revision processes Proficiency in C/C++, MATLAB, Python, LabVIEW preferred Automotive industry experience is a plus Benefits & Perks: Competitive pay Comprehensive Health Benefits + 401(k) Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays Compensation: The anticipated salary range for this position is between $110,000 and $140,000. Compensation is based on experience, education, and qualifications.
