Labour Hire are recruiting on behalf of a specialist building services consultancy for an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their team in a full-time, permanent role. This is an exciting opportunity to step into a leadership position within a tight-knit, dynamic consultancy environment and take the reins on a wide variety of projects across the UK.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering electrical designs from concept to completion, overseeing junior engineers, and managing client relationships while maintaining high design standards and project profitability.

REQUIREMENTS

• 5+ years of experience in electrical building services design.
• Proven ability to manage projects from concept through to completion.
• Solid understanding of Building Regulations, CIBSE/IEE regulations, and CDM.
• Previous experience working in a building services consultancy or large contractor.
• Strong communication and client-facing skills.
• Experience mentoring or managing junior staff.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Amtech, Dialux Evo, Microsoft Office & Project.
• HNC/Degree in Electrical or Building Services Engineering (minimum).
• Full UK driving license (some UK travel required).

• Lead the electrical design across a variety of sectors: education, residential, commercial, and healthcare.
• Produce design specifications, calculations, schedules, drawings, and reports.
• Manage design teams and provide support and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Oversee project delivery, budgets, and quality assurance.
• Liaise with clients, attend meetings, and build strong working relationships.
• Use Revit and AutoCAD to produce and review design drawings.
• Assist with fee assessments and tender package production.
• Support the development and implementation of internal design standards.
