Responsibilities

ROLE SUMMARY:

Orana Engineering is seeking to the role of Senior Electrical Engineer within our Townsville Office. This position reports to the Townsville Office Engineering Manager, is based in Townsville and provide the opportunity to complete onsite work at our client’s sites as required.

The successful applicant’s role will include:

  • Promoting safety and fostering a safe culture on all facets of work to which Orana Engineering is engaged.
  • Performing electrical engineering design for HV and LV systems including power distribution, motor/equipment control, communications and safety systems, using industry standard tools such as Power Tools for Windows, PowerCAD and AutoCAD.
  • Performance of engineering audits, reviews and technical report writing.
  • Project management of various interdisciplinary projects including preparation and management of project correspondence, documents, budgets and estimates.
  • Mentoring and guidance for junior engineering and design staff.
  • Opportunities to perform onsite works through various parts of, or the entire project lifecycle.
  • Communication and interaction with clients, vendors and company employees.
  • Observing confidentiality requirements relevant to this position.
  • Support and mentoring from other Senior and Principal Engineers (including RPEQ) and Management, working as part of a team towards continual improvement in the quality and level of engineering and services offered to our clients
