POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the design and development of electrical systems for renewable energy projects, power quality solutions, and energy storage systems. This role is pivotal in providing technical leadership across multiple projects, mentoring junior engineers, and ensuring the highest standards of electrical design and system integration.
The successful candidate will bring extensive experience in power systems design, electrical engineering leadership, and project management within the renewable energy or power electronics industry.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in electrical power systems, renewable energy, or power electronics
  • Proven leadership experience managing technical teams and complex engineering projects
  • Strong background in electrical system design, power distribution, and grid integration
  • Experience with electrical design software (ETAP, SKM, AutoCAD Electrical, or similar)
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and client interaction
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) registration in Canada (required)

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

  • Experience with utility-scale renewable energy projects or microgrids
  • Knowledge of energy storage systems and grid-tied inverter technologies
  • Familiarity with electrical testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and utility interconnection processes
  • Background in power electronics and advanced power conditioning systems

    Pay: $90,000.00-$130,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Lead electrical engineering design for complex renewable energy, BESS, and power quality projects
