QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in developing electrical systems for complex platforms such as Autonomous Vehicles, robotics, aerospace, or automotive.
  • Understanding of software and firmware practices and programming languages is a plus.
  • Familiarity with high-voltage and high-current architectures.
  • Experience with microcontrollers and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
  • Knowledge of EMI/EMC best practices
  • Excellent problem-solving ability in high-pressure, resource-constrained environments.
  • Strong communication skills and capacity to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Eligible for UK Security Clearance
  • Must be able to travel and stay in the Devon area a minimum of 3 days a week

Responsibilities
  • Design and integrate electrical systems including motor controllers, batteries, embedded systems, and sensors.
  • Develop both low- and high-voltage architectures for rapid prototyping.
  • Produce wiring diagrams, schematics, and harnesses using CAD tools (e.g. SolidWorks).
  • Select and validate components for reliability under extreme operational conditions.
  • Collaborate with vendors and manufacturing partners to source and assemble electrical systems for our products.
  • Support and participate in regular field testing and demonstrations with defence partners.
