SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER | SPACE-TECH | AEROSPACE

Location: Canberra, Australia
We are working with an Australian leader in space-based technology solutions that designs and operates advanced small satellite systems for global aerospace applications.
They’re now looking to hire a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team in Canberra and play a critical role in delivering mission-ready hardware.

Experience required:

  • Bachelor’s or higher in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (or related).
  • Proven experience designing and testing mixed-signal and digital electronics in high-reliability environments (space, defence, or aerospace preferred).
  • Strong hands-on background with FPGAs, microprocessors, and complex board-level design.
  • Proficiency in Altium Designer and deep knowledge of signal integrity, EMI/EMC, and power distribution
Responsibilities

As an Electrical Engineer, you’ll take ownership of the end-to-end development of advanced electronic systems for satellite missions. This includes:

  • Designing and testing mixed-signal electronics from concept through to in-orbit deployment.
  • Leading schematic capture and PCB layout using Altium Designer.
  • Providing technical leadership across FPGA and microprocessor-based systems.
  • Contributing to critical design reviews, mentoring junior engineers, and guiding system-level architecture.
  • Collaborating across engineering, manufacturing, and program teams to deliver space-grade electronics.

Experience required:
