Description

UNWRAP INNOVATION. POWER THE FUTURE OF PACKAGING.

Are you an Electrical Engineer with deep expertise in stretch wrapping systems? Do you thrive on designing smarter, faster, and more reliable machines that drive innovation in automated packaging? If you’re ready to take ownership of high-performance equipment that sets the industry standard, this is the opportunity for you.
We’re looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our world-class engineering team, leading the electrical design and optimization of advanced stretch wrapping equipment used across global supply chains. If you know the ins and outs of prestretch and post-stretch film systems—and how to make them perform at peak efficiency—this role was built for you.

MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s or P.E. preferred).
  • 10+ years of electrical engineering experience in capital equipment or industrial automation.
  • Minimum 7 years of direct experience with stretch wrapping systems, including:
  • Film force, film memory, prestretch/post-stretch systems
  • Electromechanical drive systems and film carriage controls
  • Integration with motion control systems, feedback loops, and tensioning mechanisms
  • Experience programming and configuring electrical systems for packaging automation.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical, PLC programming tools, and electrical system modeling.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of high-speed packaging or palletizing systems.
  • Familiarity with PDM/ERP systems (InforM3 preferred).
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex field issues and support remote technical teams.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Project estimation and cross-functional collaboration experience.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

You will be the technical authority on electrical and electromechanical systems in our stretch wrapper product line, working cross-functionally with mechanical engineers, product managers, controls engineers, field service, and manufacturing teams.

  • Lead the electrical design and integration of high-speed, high-reliability stretch wrapping systems.
  • Develop and optimize film carriage controls, including motor-driven prestretch systems, torque modulation, and feedback mechanisms (e.g., dancer arms, analog sensors).
  • Collaborate closely with mechanical engineers to ensure system-level performance and containment goals are met across various load types.
  • Implement safety systems and ensure full compliance with industrial machine safety standards.
  • Provide technical guidance to field service teams during installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
  • Support the commercialization of new systems and continuously improve existing models.

THIS ROLE IS NOT A FIT FOR:

  • Mechanical Engineers without significant electrical systems experience.
  • Engineers without hands-on experience working with stretch wrapping technologies.
  • Candidates unfamiliar with prestretch/post-stretch system design and control.
