An opportunity has become available for a Senior Estimator in either Milton QLD, Melbourne VIC or Sydney NSW, for Downer’s Energy & Utilities business unit reporting to the Estimating Manager. The Senior Estimator will ensure accurate estimates of the total cost of projects are completed on time and in accordance with required technical and company standards. The ideal candidate will envision themselves attending to duties such as:

• Develop the estimating preparation plans and schedules to manage key tenders in accordance with the Sector calendar
• Provide advice and technical support to enable successful project/business outcomes and delivery
• Understand client requirements (this includes site visits and client engagements) and develop estimating strategies to address these requirements
• Develop first principles estimates utilising the Estimating Library to ensure compliance and the use of the correct design template.
• Develop estimations as per client requirements and the schedule to the required level of accuracy and quality.
• To ensure compliance with the Downer Standard through tender development, approval, negotiation, and final handover to the Project Delivery Team

• Develop strategic alliances with suppliers and subcontractorsNon-conformances are corrected within prescribed timeframes.
