Position Overview Edgewood Electric is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Manager to oversee multiple electrical construction projects simultaneously, ranging from $5M on average up to $30M in value. This is a leadership role responsible for financial performance, scheduling, client relationships, design-assist coordination, and change order management. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, understands complex commercial electrical systems, and has a strong command of project financials. This is an in-office position based in Detroit. Key Responsibilities Multi-Project Leadership Manage multiple electrical construction projects concurrently (avg. $5M; up to $30M). Oversee projects from pre-construction through closeout. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to quality standards. Financial Ownership Full P&L responsibility for assigned projects. Manage budgets, forecasting, labor tracking, cost controls, and procurement. Monitor job cost reports and maintain margin targets. Utilize Sage for financial tracking and reporting. Scheduling & Execution Develop and manage project schedules. Coordinate manpower planning and material procurement. Identify risks early and implement mitigation strategies. Change Order Management & Estimating Prepare, price, and negotiate change orders. Analyze scope revisions and cost impacts. Use Accubid and EBM for estimating and documentation. Maintain accurate change order logs and ensure timely approvals. Design-Assist & Preconstruction Participate in design-assist efforts. Review plans and specifications for constructability and cost optimization. Collaborate with engineers, GCs, architects, and owners. Client & Team Leadership Serve as the primary point of contact for owners and general contractors. Lead internal project teams and mentor junior PMs and project engineers. Run project meetings and provide executive-level updates. Qualifications Required: 3+ years of electrical project management experience in commercial or industrial construction. Experience managing projects valued at $5M+. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong financial acumen and cost control experience. Experience with design-assist projects. Proficiency in Sage, Accubid, and EBM (or similar platforms). Strong knowledge of NEC and commercial electrical systems. Preferred: Experience with healthcare, large commercial, multifamily, or sports/entertainment facilities.
