Description
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Biomedical, or Electrical Engineering. Required minimum years of work experience (primarily in medical device or related field): 5+ Years with BS, 3+ Years with MS. Background in experimental design, data analysis, and communicating technical findings. Strong engineering fundamentals and track record of sound technical judgment. Self-driven, with a creative approach to solving complex engineering problems. Demonstrated ability to execute and follow through on project responsibilities. Team-oriented mindset that thrives in a collaborative environment. Good organizational, communication and collaboration skills. PhD in Mechanical, Biomedical, or Electrical Engineering with emphasis in areas of therapeutic or diagnostic ultrasound. Demonstrated ability to understand clinical application and translate to design features and requirements. Experience designing, prototyping, and implementing innovative solutions for medical applications. Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables effectively. Experience designing catheter based medical devices that involve RF or Ultrasound energy delivery, or electronic based diagnostics. Experience with ultrasound transducer test methods (hydrophone scanning, force balance, electrical impedance, pulse echo, etc.) Familiarity with DFM principles, design controls, quality systems, and the product development lifecycle (PLCP). Willingness to travel in support of project activities.
