Job Title: Senior Electromagnetics Engineer Location: Warton - On site Salary: 47,683+ depending on skills and experience What you’ll be doing Supporting delivery of the team objectives in accordance with time, cost and quality Supporting the definition of the Low Observable (LO) elements of vehicle configuration options Participating in the design of the LO elements of vehicle design Supporting the specification, monitoring, and analysis of Radar Cross Section (RCS) tests to support through Life LO activities Carrying out theoretical and analytical RCS computations to support LO Design activities Responsible for guiding a multidisciplinary team Responsible for applying relevant engineering and design standards and processes Your skills and experiences Essential An understanding of the overall systems engineering lifecycle Experience working within a large, complex, multi-project environment Understanding of electromagnetics Knowledge and understanding of engineering toolsets e.g CAD systems, computational electromagnetic modelling, LO supportability Desirable Experience with Multiphysics toolsets beneficial Radio frequency antenna design desirable CAD preparation Radio frequency electronics Experience of electromagnetics materials characterisation experimental methods Experience of RCS (radar cross section) experimental methods A degree in a STEM subject (Physics, Mathematics, Electronic/Electrical Engineering, System Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computational Modelling) or equivalent experience PHD beneficial specialising in electromagnetics (Radio frequency, terahertz, microwave) Benefits As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing and lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts - you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.
