We’re looking for a Senior Electronic Design Engineer with deep experience in IoT hardware development to lead the design and delivery of advanced, low power connected products. You’ll play a key role in developing next-generation sensor and telemetry solutions - from concept to deployment - helping us build smart, reliable, and efficient electronics for challenging field environments. This is a hands-on engineering role with significant ownership, leadership responsibility, and room to shape the direction of our product platform. You will work on a variety of exciting projects, often to tight deadlines. Good time management skills are essential for the successful Senior Electronic Design Engineer. REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Degree in Electronics Engineering, or related discipline
  • Experience designing embedded electronics, ideally for field-deployed or ruggedised products
  • Strong knowledge of low-power design principles and component selection
  • Experience with microcontroller systems (
  • Proficiency in analogue and digital circuit design, including power supply design
  • Hands-on skills in prototyping, debugging, and lab testing
  • Familiarity with wireless comms hardware and antenna integration
Responsibilities
  • Lead the design of embedded electronics for IoT applications, including low-power systems, MCU selection, and wireless connectivity
  • Develop schematics, multilayer PCB layouts, and manage BOMs using tools like Altium or KiCad
  • Integrate and optimise wireless comms (e.g. LoRaWAN, NB-IoT, LTE-M, BLE, Wi-Fi)
  • Ensure designs meet EMC, environmental, and industry compliance standards
  • Collaborate closely with firmware, cloud, and mechanical teams to ensure seamless integration
  • Mentor junior engineers and support the growth of engineering best practice
  • Oversee product testing, validation, and support field trials
  • Contribute to manufacturing test strategies and design-for-manufacture (DFM/DFT) improvements
