Job Description We’re hiring a Senior Electronics Design Engineer to support complex embedded and hardware systems within high-integrity defence programmes. You’ll be working on challenging, long-lifecycle projects involving critical electronic designs, simulation, and integration in marine defence environments. You’ll be responsible for the full development lifecycle, from schematic capture to PCB layout and system validation, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable and compliant designs. What you’ll be doing Designing analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuits Creating schematics and PCB layouts using Altium Designer Simulating circuits using LTspice for performance and compliance analysis Integrating Microchip microcontrollers and supporting FPGA-based solutions Validating and debugging boards at prototype and system level EMC Testing Working alongside systems, mechanical, and layout engineers Supporting structured documentation and peer reviews Qualifications What we’re looking for 10+ years’ experience in electronics design or embedded hardware engineering Proficiency in Altium Designer and LTspice Experience working with microcontrollers (Microchip) and FPGA development Background in high-integrity environments such as defence, aerospace, or marine Understanding of mission-critical hardware development standards Must be eligible for SC clearance – UKEO SC or prior defence projects preferred Additional Information Why join us?
