About the Role: We are seeking a Senior Embedded Software Developer with strong expertise in power electronics and motor control systems for electrified vehicle applications. The role involves developing and delivering advanced control software for electric drive systems, with a focus on inverter functionality and electric machine control in a real-time embedded environment. You will be part of a high-performing engineering team responsible for designing, implementing, and validating complete software solutions—from early concept and system design through implementation, testing, calibration, and final vehicle integration. Key Responsibilities: Develop embedded software for electric drive systems, including inverter and motor control functionality Design and implement control algorithms for electric machines (e.g., PMSM, induction machines) Translate system and control requirements into robust embedded C code and model-based designs Develop and maintain MATLAB/Simulink models for control system design and code generation Participate in system architecture and concept development for electrified powertrains Perform software verification and validation across multiple levels (unit, MIL, SIL, HIL, rig, and vehicle testing) Support calibration activities in test rigs and real vehicles to optimize performance and efficiency Collaborate closely with hardware, system, and validation engineers in cross-functional teams Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and software quality Requirements: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Control Systems, or equivalent Strong experience in electric machine control systems (PMSM and/or induction machines) Proven experience in MATLAB/Simulink for control system development At least 3+ years of relevant industry experience in embedded or control systems development Experience with calibration and testing in hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), test rigs, or vehicle environments Familiarity with automotive communication and measurement tools (e.g., CANalyzer, INCA or similar MCD tools) Strong understanding of embedded software development in C/C++ Driver’s license (B) required Preferred Qualifications Experience in embedded software development for automotive control systems Knowledge of AUTOSAR architecture and development workflows Experience with modern development tools, debugging environments, and CI/CD pipelines Experience with Python or other scripting languages for automation and testing Familiarity with electrification systems, inverters, and power electronics hardware Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly in English What We Offer: A dynamic and innovative workplace, driving advancements in cutting-edge robotic technologies The opportunity to collaborate with talented cross-functional teams on meaningful and impactful projects Competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefits package A supportive culture that fosters continuous learning, growth, and professional development Flexible hybrid working model for an optimal work-life balance 25 days of annual leave to recharge and relax An annual wellness allowance of 3,500 SEK to support your health and wellbeing
