Description

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • As software configuration SME (Subject Matter Expert), understand business requirements and how to translate to customisable solutions via configuration and interface interactions. Identify gaps, write business requirements and hand over to product manager.
  • Take responsibility for assigned tasks following a detailed project plan. Provide progress to the project manager and deal with issues as the first point of escalation on the project.
  • Devise and create training material and run training courses remotely or onsite at clients.
  • Be pro-active in maintaining and building relationships with assigned clients and gain an understanding on how they use the software for their business needs.
  • Generate additional revenue via identification of training, consultancy services and change requests.
  • Manage and undertake pre-testing of software and contribute to improving the quality of releases for specific client configurations.
  • Co-ordinate with pre-sales and project managers, providing key input into planning and estimating of software delivery projects.
  • Identify revenue/upsell opportunities with the customer through continuous improvement of services and thorough understanding of customer’s business and goals
  • Assist Sales to qualify prospects, ensuring Brady can deliver in line with requirements
  • Attend sales meetings as a technical and/or functional expert
  • Present proposals to prospects/customers alongside members of the sales team

KEY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous Power/Energy sector experience working in roles such as a Power Scheduler or within physical power trading operations or portfolio management
  • Understanding of physical power market concepts in either GB or in Europe such as balancing, scheduling and dispatch
  • Consulting or Business Analysis experience a big plus
  • Configuration of systems using different configuration file formats i.e., XML, JSON, YML
  • Querying databases for information: Gremlin, SQL, KQL, Oracle
  • Cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure and Databricks.
  • Knowledge of using REST API and Azure Service bus is an advantage.
  • Process and task automation using VBA and Python.
  • Support product team with proof of concepts (POC) using Python, Git and Azure resources.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to present and communicate effectively with customers
  • Collaborative team member but with the ability to work independently with customers
