Description

AESG is seeking a passionate, driven, and technically strong Senior Energy Modeler to join our growing sustainability and energy advisory team. This is a remote role based in India, supporting high-profile, large-scale developments across the Middle East and Globally. The role will include energy modelling using IESVE software to create detailed energy models of buildings, including their architecture, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and lighting systems. This involves inputting building data, materials, and system specifications. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating technical engineering solutions and a willingness to work across multiple large-scale projects. Key Responsibilities: Analyze the energy efficiency of buildings and identify areas for improvement. Evaluate the impact of various design choices and technologies on energy consumption and sustainability goals. Optimize HVAC system designs and configurations to balance occupant comfort with energy efficiency, including assessing heating and cooling loads, airflow, and thermal comfort. Support QA/QC reviews of energy models and deliverables prepared by junior consultants. Independently deliver project tasks with minimal supervision, ensuring technical accuracy and alignment with project objectives. Prepare comprehensive reports and presentations summarizing analysis results, recommendations, and insights for clients, architects, engineers, and project stakeholders. Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to implement energy-efficient design solutions and ensure that design changes align with project goals. Engage confidently with clients, supporting coordination, technical discussions, and long-term relationship development. Qualification /Experience: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical engineering, Energy Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related discipline. A minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in energy modelling within the sustainability sector of the built environment is required. Having some background in HVAC design is advantageous. Demonstrated experience delivering at least 10 successfully approved energy models for green building rating systems such as LEED, Mostadam, Estidama, or equivalent using IES VE software preferentially Experience with energy modelling for various Sustainability Rating Systems such as USGBC LEED, Mostadam, Estidama etc. Expert in IESVE software. Analytical skills and ability to independently carry out project sub-tasks
