Senior Enforcement Officer Fixed Term Contract Grade C- £35,412 - £44,075 Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review Working 36.5 hours per week Are you a problem solver? An exciting permanent opportunity has arisen to join the Planning Enforcement Department with Birmingham City Council.  We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Enforcement Officer to join our team, where you will play a key role in Planning Enforcement. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing, investigating and managing enforcement complaints, managing caseloads throughout the lifecycle of a complaint whilst maintain accurate case management and administrative records, using a variety of IT systems. You will also undertake site visits and attend meetings across the city in connection with cases. Some of the skills required include: * Able to conduct investigations and inspections. Capable of applying principles to make informed decisions and effectively solve problems. * Able and willing to undertake a range of enforcement action. * Experience of working effectively with the public or businesses and providing excellent customer service to a variety of stakeholders. * Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills including during conflict situations. * Able to work under pressure to meet targets and deadlines. * Able to work flexibly which may include some work outside normal office hours. * The requirement to drive is essential.
