Global Partnerships Division Full-time, Fixed term until March 2027 Base salary will be in the range $93K - $100K + 17% super (HEW Level 6) Based at our vibrant St Lucia campus About This Opportunity Global Partnerships invites a driven Senior Engagement Officer to join our high-performing Intelligence & Engagement team. This role collaborates closely with senior leaders, academic champions, and professional staff to deliver impactful onshore and offshore engagement activities, including flagship events such as the UQ–Latin American Colloquium and UQ-IITD Research Academy Symposium, as well as supporting Senior Executive Missions and Executive Trips led by the Vice-Chancellor. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Coordinating key Global Partnerships events, including symposia, online seminars, and stakeholder activities with flagship partners (e.g.: the UQ-Latin American Colloquium). Support Senior Executive Missions and Executive Trips, including event and meeting logistic, travel requirements, risk management, and on-call support. Build and maintain collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including USET, international partners, and government agencies. Advise on international protocols, UQ visits, and offshore events. Source, negotiate, and manage contractors and suppliers for domestic and global events. Prepare briefing documents, programs, agendas, gifts, and follow-up actions for events and executive visits. Manage event budgets and prepare post-event reports. Perform other duties as required, including occasional work outside standard hours (flexible arrangements available). About You Relevant degree with 5+ years of experience, or extensive experience and demonstrated expertise in international relations, event management, or a related field. Proven experience coordinating offshore events and international travel, including program development, budgets, and logistics. Experience working with senior executives and dignitaries, with strong understanding of diplomatic protocols. Excellent oral and written communication skills, able to engage diverse audiences across cultures. Exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, building productive partnerships with executives, academics, government representatives, students, and external partners. High proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with content management systems (e.g., Drupal) and design tools (e.g., Adobe InDesign). Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high-performing team. Ability to manage competing priorities under pressure while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
