Job Description As a Senior Engineer in the Story Tech Team, you will be responsible for extending and maintaining the code of Unreal Engine animation technology, tools, and pipelines (including CDPR extensions to these areas). We seek a talented engineer to develop movement modes for our narration tools with high quality and fidelity for the big open-world game. Working closely with the Cinematic Designers, Quest Designers, Open World Designers, and other engineers you should have a positive attitude and skills to cooperate in an interdisciplinary team effectively. Daily responsibilities Developing animation systems and/or extensions to these systems. Extending Sequencer tool. Developing story telling mechanics related to animation. Collaborating with other engineers, designers, animators and other developers contributing to team work on a daily basis. Writing readable, high quality, efficient C++ code. Maintaining, debugging, profiling and bug fixing code to achieve the best quality and performance. Documenting code and work, creating debug tools for other developers, creating tests to cover existing functionality. Qualifications 5+ years experience in a similar role in the game dev industry. Practical knowledge of game animation systems (designs & patterns). Good knowledge of the Unreal Engine 5 environment - especially features and systems related to locomotion and animation areas. Experience in creating a AAA title for game consoles, debugging and profiling these games in a console environment. Knowledge of motion-matching technology. Knowledge of modern game animation systems architecture. Deep knowledge of C++. Math & algorithmic skills. Good & practical knowledge of code parallelization. Good spirit and team player approach with solid communication skills. Fluent English. Familiarity with agile way of working. Additional Information Working mode Remote/ Hybrid.
