JOB SUMMARY: As a core member of our Non-Qualified Deferred Compensation (NQ) team, you will support, maintain, enhance, and develop new projects related to our critical recordkeeping and client-facing applications that support our important customers. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to support and maintain our cloud-based infrastructure and ensure applications are running as expected and optimized for cost and performance. In this rapid paced environment, you must possess a "can-do" attitude while demonstrating a strong work ethic. You will leverage your technical skills in a variety of ways to fix issues, upgrade system components, enhance functionality, improve system performance, etc. using a variety of tools, methods, & frameworks. You should enjoy solving complex problems and working independently, as well as, with our IT team and business partners. You will also have the rewarding opportunity to provide your leadership, guidance, and expertise to less experienced team members to help them build and develop their technical skills and business knowledge. In addition, you will be able to provide your input and expertise on designing and architecting new projects, infrastructure, and systems. REQUIREMENTS: 5+ years developing solutions involving the following technologies: C#, VB.NET, Web API, MVC, Oracle or other SQL, .NET Core, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML. Experience with the following technologies: Web API (JSON/XML), RESTful architectures, AWS API Gateway, Python and Lambda. 5+ years of strong SQL knowledge on Oracle or other databases including writing stored procedures/views/functions, optimizing, and debugging SQL. Multiple years of experience with Windows and IIS configurations and setup, as well as remediating server and application vulnerabilities. Experience with jQuery and Angular or React JS framework is a plus. Excellent experience in modern deployment models using Jenkins or other CI/CD pipelines. Excellent experience with source code version control such as GitLab Good experience on the AWS platform and services and other cloud products. Good experience of modern Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and the agile methodology. Leadership and mentoring skills to provide guidance and expertise to less senior team members, to help them grow their skills and knowledge. May be required to assist with planning and tracking of less senior team members’ work. Good knowledge of system architecture and design and be able to support your position with system, security and enterprise architects and team leaders. Excellent written and verbal skills and ability to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization. Detail oriented, self-starter with strong organizational skills to multitask and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Enthusiasm to work and learn in a team environment with experience of working in teams spread across multiple locations. Effectively manage a workload that includes strategic enhancement initiatives as well as reactive support tasks, ensuring high-quality delivery in both areas. Able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines while remaining professional and courteous. Able to keep knowledge up to date in the appropriate technical and business-related areas. Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. EDUCATION: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field (Information Systems, Mathematics, Software Engineering) OTHER PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Familiar with DevOps principles and practices. Comfortable with Linux, UNIX, or Windows based OS. 2+ years of experience within a financial or other highly regulated industry. Preferred work experience using JIRA in Agile or related development methodologies. Delivers internal and external customer service excellence. Exhibits listening, patience, empathy, authenticity, pro-activity, and perseverance with our business partners. Upholds commitment to delivering optimal solutions, in a timely manner, and balances customer needs with the best interests of the organization. Collaboration across teams including Analysts, Testers, Business, and third-party integrators in reviewing, evaluating, designing, and implementing solutions. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS: Key team members are spread out across the United States, so hours may extend from day to day.
