Primary Duties & Responsibilities This position is responsible for Packing process and documentation, methods analysis/improvements, machines layout and equipment acquisition, preparation of equipment justification and appropriation request development, and maintenance of manufacturing information and Statistical process control systems, providing analytical troubleshooting, and leading projects designed to improve efficiencies, assure quality and reduce costs. Hands-on to involve process and production activity is a must. Education & Experience * At least 5 years of related working experience in manufacturing environment with a highly technical, quality oriented, high volume, light-manufacturing environment. Working experience in Optical Manufacturing is strongly preferred * Bachelor’s degree in engineering or sciences. The following specializations in Engineering or Sciences are preferred: Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design; Mechatronics Engineering; Material Sciences; Materials Engineering and other relevant specializations with the job. * Master’s degree or higher is a plus Skills * English communication is compulsory. Chinese is a plus. * Strong analytical and Problem solving, Decision making and Continuous Improvement * Rich Experience in material and packaging (Develop, design, qualify, improve), designing tools, jigs and fixture for manufacturing processes * Capability on design software's (Autocad/ Solidworks…) * Experience with project management methodologies and tools is an advantage. * Strong interpersonal, teaming, and problem-solving skills. * Work effectively with other members of Coherent Corp Safety Requirements All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corp.
