[What the role is] [What the role is] Senior/Engineer (Clean Energy Research Centre) / School of Engineering [What you will be working on] [What youu will be doing] Design and develop prototypes for high-performance flow reactor systems, including component integration and performance optimization. Support the development and scale-up of manufacturing processes for battery components, ensuring consistency and quality. Conduct performance evaluation and experimental testing of prototypes and perform data analysis to interpret results and guide design improvements. Collaborate with industry partners to coordinate equipment design, fabrication, and testing services. Prepare technical documentation, including progress reports, patent filings, journal manuscripts, and conference presentations, to communicate research outcomes effectively. Support senior scientists and engineers in the execution and delivery of projects, including task coordination and reporting. Engage frequently with industry players to gain insights into state-of-the-art technologies, problem statements, and market dynamics. [What we are looking for] Qualifications in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related discipline. Hands-on R&D experience in energy storage and conversion systems, preferably with direct involvement in redox flow batteries, electrolysers, or related electrochemical technologies Proficiency in 3D design and mechanical modeling using relevant CAD tools for energy storage and conversion system components Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and creative approach to technical challenges. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly present technical concepts and research findings in team discussions and project reviews. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Learn new skills and work on a diverse range of projects.
