The role also involves mentoring junior engineers and active participation in industry standards organizations such as ASTM and CMH-17.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Lead the planning and execution of composite materials characterization programs, including specimen design, manufacturing, and mechanical testing.
  • Collaborate directly with aerospace clients to understand technical requirements and translate them into actionable test plans.
  • Prepare formal quotations for composite specimen manufacturing and mechanical testing services, working closely with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Wear multiple hats across technical leadership, client interaction, project scoping, and sales support.
  • Serve as a technical advisor to junior engineering staff, supporting their growth and development.
  • Participate in national and international standards organizations such as ASTM D30 and CMH-17, contributing to the development and refinement of composite material guidelines.
  • Interface with customers, suppliers, and industry partners on material-related challenges and innovations.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and laboratory teams to ensure on-time and high-quality project delivery.
